A Special Tribute

Sheena - beautiful person, brilliant osteopath, made a difference.

Sheena Robertson worked at Whitley Bay Osteopathic centre from 2003 to 2009 and was one of the most inspiring people to be around. She lost her long battle with cancer in October 2011 and the following obituary was penned by Dennis Picknett who had trained with Sheena and then taught with her at the British School of Osteopathy before she headed back up North.
The world will be a poorer place without her. Read More ››

Typical problems patients present with:

  • Back pain
  • Headaches
  • Spinal problems
  • Arthritic conditions
  • Joint problems
  • Sports injuries
  • Repetitive strain injuries
  • Postural problems (including pregnancy)
  • Childhood problems

Osteopaths work hands-on to both investigate and treat the underlying causes of pain. All the osteopaths in our practice are registered with the General Osteopathic Council. Every patient is assessed individually and if appropriate a treatment programme is devised. In many cases improvements are seen within three treatments.

Cranial osteopathy is a refined technique using very gentle pressure and is therefore suitable for everyone from new-born babies to the elderly. It is aimed at calming the whole system down and settling the breathing mechanics. Please visit the Cranial Treatment Page for more details.
